Lemon Penny was founded by Jennifer Campain DiSante, a professional makeup artist, educator, actor, and product developer. Every Lemon Penny product is born from one simple question: What actually works when performance matters?

Jennifer began her career in front of the camera as a commercial actor in 1996, quickly learning how makeup must perform under lights, lenses, long wear, and close scrutiny. That firsthand experience evolved into advanced training in character and performance makeup, professional artistry education, and work as a Certified Level 4 MAC Pro Artist with MAC Cosmetics. Over the years, her work has spanned editorial, film and television, political clients, live studios, and more than 200 weddings.

Later earning her Pennsylvania State Cosmetology license, Jennifer worked alongside top artists and estheticians at QVC Studios and Dermalogica. It was there, watching products succeed or fail in real time, that the Lemon Penny philosophy truly took shape.
